The Knights of Saint Columbanus have received, from the Missionaries of Charity, a first-class Relic of St. Teresa of Calcutta (Formerly known as Mother Teresa) and they have arranged for the Relic to be  brought to the Cathedrals of Ireland . As part of this tour the Relic will be present at St Mary’s Cathedral from Tuesday 18th July – Thursday 20th July. A programme of events has been planned to facilitate veneration of the Relic and to foster a deeper awareness of the call to holinesses as expressed in the life of St Teresa of Calcutta especially through her care for the weakest and most vulnerable, and the dignity and respect she showed the sick and dying.

A First Class relic of St Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) is currently making a tour of the Cathedrals of Ireland. Te Relic will arrive at St Mary’s Cathedral Kilkenny at 7 pm on Tuesday 18th July and remain until 3 pm on Thursday 20th July.
