The word “Eucharist” means Thanksgiving. So when Christians celebrate the Eucharist, they are thanking and praising God, in the context of a sacred meal, for all the good things that
God has given them, through Jesus.
In our parish, First Communion is celebrated when children are in Second Class. Preparation for First Communion is shared by the parish, the school and the family through the ‘Do This in Memory’ Programme.
The Programme offers parents and family the opportunity to be involved in their children’s preparation. Parents will be advised of the specific masses to attend with their children during the year.
First Holy Communion ‘Do this in Memory’ Masses:
February 10th, March 10th, April 14th. 10am Mass each Sunday.
First Holy Communion will be celebrated on:
May 12th and May 19th. 11.00am
Thursday March 28th 7.00pm
